Major Plotzer indicated that, as of Friday, it did not appear the state Department of Transportation dump truck, one of the three vehicles involved, "had any contributing factors to the crash." The Kenwood Middle School bus was carrying 25 students and five adult staff members at the time of the crash. The state dump truck had two adults inside, while the passenger vehicle, identified as a Chevy Trailblazer, was occupied by one adult.
